A charming 400 year old Cretan village house renovated with tender loving care by its owners with respect to family traditions and to the environment. This house belonged to Emilia's great grandfather and she has made sure that the house will retain all its past character although offering modern day comforts and services such as air-conditioning in the 3 bedrooms and also having a private swimming pool in the back garden with forced air generating artificial waves.

The villa
The house is located in the village of Prines and access is via a narrow village road with its frontages overlooking open countryside. The property has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and is suitable for 6/7 persons.

Entrance from a side village road to the splendid enclosed and large courtyard with jasmine plants emitting perfumed fragrances, flowers, shrubs and some antique hand made large flower pots.
From the courtyard there is a stone staircase to the first floor. Up a few steps to the covered patio with stone benches and the swimming pool to the end of the garden where there some loungers and a table in a tree shaded area.

A double bedroom is accessed from the courtyard having a double bed, and also from the courtyard is the door to a sitting room with a sofa, table,  chairs and the well equipped kitchen at the other end and a spiral staircase to the upper floor where there is another bedroom with twin beds, bathroom and a balcony leading to the main lounge with comfortable sofa and 4 arm chairs, from here there is a doorway to the third bedroom having a double bed. There is also a single bed in the spacious lounge/dinning room.

There is a mini market within walking distance and some cafes in the village, however only 2 Kms away is the village of Atsipopoulo which has an abundance of tavernas, cafes, supermarkets and one of the most popular bakeries.
